What booking options are available for my services and resources?

There are 3 Booking Options to choose from under Settings / Services.



All options take into account to the number of Service Providers, Stand-Alone Resources and Resources available for a particular Service at a given time. 

1. Must choose a Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resource when booking.  

  • Bookings limited to available number of Add-on Resources. 
  • This is the default booking option. 

2. Can book without choosing a Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resource.

  • New clients may not be familiar with your Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resource and simply want to book a service and will be happy to accept who ever is assigned by the receptionist.  Or, a client’s preferred Service Provider is booked and the client is willing to book with someone else but doesn’t have a preference.
  • Bookings limited to available number of Service Providers or Stand-Alone Resources and Add-on Resources.
  • If a client books without choosing a Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resources, the appointment is To Be Assigned (TBA) and will require you to manually assign the booking to a Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resource .

3. Cannot choose a Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resource. 

  • Use this option for services that are only assigned to a Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resource by your receptionist or administrator.
  • Bookings limited to available number of Service Providers or Stand-Alone Resources and Add-on Resources.
  • These appointments are To Be Assigned (TBA) and will require you to manually assign the booking to a Service Provider or Stand-Alone Resource.

Tip: We recommend assigning appointments to Service Providers or Stand-Alone Resources as soon as possible to avoid scheduling conflicts.  You may want to have TBA notifications sent to a specific email address that is regularly monitored.  Setup TBA notifications under Settings / Notifications / Additional Notifications.

To allow a service to be booked multiple times in the same timeslot, set a value for Maximum Bookings / Timeslot / Service Provider or Resource. 
Note: Multiple Bookings / Timeslot / Service Provider or Resource, only works for multiple bookings for the same service, at the same start time, within a given time slot.  In other words, it does not allow a variety of different services to be booked within the same time slot.

You will be notified of “TBA Appointments” through a notation to the upper right of your calendar.  Select the notation to display a list of TBA appointments.   If you don’t expect to be monitoring the calendar display regularly for TBA appointments, we recommend setting up an email address to receive TBA Notifications under Settings / Notifications / Additional Notifications.
